Packages Glossary
Sana Canvas Kit ships components across three packages. A component’s package tells you how stable it is, not whether it’s safe to use — every component documented on this site is safe to use in production.
- Main (
@workday/canvas-kit-react) — stable and ready for production use. - Preview (
@workday/canvas-kit-preview-react) — mostly stable, but may still receive breaking changes before being promoted to Main. When we document a Preview component here instead of its Main equivalent (for example, Radio, Switch, Tabs, Status Indicator, and MultiSelect), it’s because we recommend the Preview version. - Labs (
@workday/canvas-kit-labs-react) — experimental and may receive significant changes or be removed entirely. We only document a Labs component here when it’s safe to use, with that caveat (for example, KBD).
Each component page’s frontmatter and sources list the package it ships from. For the full package breakdown, see the Canvas Kit packages guide .
Accessibility
Sana Canvas Kit includes developer-focused accessibility guidance for building with assistive technologies. See the Accessibility guides for core concepts, ARIA patterns, and component-specific recommendations.
